i love wc3 but the w2c "war 2 combat" people dont seem to like hero and creep mechanics

Pretty much this, with wc3 and sc2 switching positions

AoE 2 is well worth it. You should look into the Remastered that's on Stream. Excellent game!

its verry good

you have supply, like in sc2
you have wood, almost infinite wood
you have food, you can make farms from wood, creating food, so you may have infinite food aswell
finaly you have gold, limited to the controlled mines, usefull in paying your race-only-unit.

i myself mostly played vs IA, so i mostly maxed out supply on gold-costing-units
but i knew someone who played online, and witch forces a wood-food-army-rush, witch was pretty dam cool

another verry fun old game is stronghold crusader,
food-religion-alcohol-population and jobs(endless fireman)-tax rate-marketplace for endless resources

i put on a medium taxrate, and shopped beer, lots of beer on the marketplace
i made alot of priests in temples, for max religion rate.
i not provided my city with any food at all!
and i made fireman, not for fire, just for create jobs, to make them pay tax.

This list is pure money!
