Sadly didn't bring anyone new, just gave their opinion on how much they disliked it.

so it goes.

It means less than nothing for non-LS players, and even LS players don't find it overly informative even after it is explained.

All it shows is the guild points (91) that you have contributed towards the guild total (141)
If you leave the guild you will see it drop to 0/0
If you join another guild, you will start off as 0/xxx

Instead of this:
Points: 679 / 8728

I think it should be showing:
Guild Points Earned: [total lifetime guild points] / [Rank or Global Rank: (Your rank) out of (All players with at least 1 GP earned)]

For example:
Guild Points Earned: 1000 / Rank: 55 out of 25000

Guild points earned should also be clickable and take you to the LS login screen

Points removed from profiles. Go to your guild page if you want to see them. They will 100% for sure not be added to the info next to posts.
