what can u earn in this mode, anything to do with battle royale? can u get vbucks?

Icons and V-bucks are pretty much the most usable from STW.
You get lots of V-bucks doing Daily missions and by playing in general

You get 100 vbucks for each storm shield defense mission of yours that you complete. There are 4 zones, 10 battles per zone, so that's 4,000. It takes many, many, MANY hours to do that though.

Every day, you get a daily 'challenge' that rewards between 50-75 vbucks. Those you can reasonably do in 24 hours.

There are occasionally missions that award 50-100 vbucks. Maybe two or three in the whole game.

There are occasionally armory-completion rewards. Those are up to RNGesus, whether you get what you need to level the book up enough.

TL;DR 50-75/day is the safe number to count on. Everything else is not really grindable.

And if I’m console, achieving Gamerscore points, etc.

is it fun?

horde was great and if this is just an improved that it could be cool as hell

It’s pretty fun, yeah. You level up your hero, improve skills and doing quests. Almost like any other MMORPG
