im halfway trough fma brotherhood and i saw there another one not named brotherhood by synopsis it looks similar

which one is better brotherhood or the other?

when im done with brotherhood is it worth it to watch the other?

I will start this anime soon enough! Just finished SAO and i feel this will be my next one.

Brotherhood is significantly better, but both are worth watching.

As was already said, the original FMA started off by following the manga and then ran out of source material, so they just started making shit out. People knowing the source material was a lot better were pretty pissed, but they eventually came out with brotherhood that actually follows it from start to finish.

Personally I prefer how the original one ended without the homonculus in a Jar storyline. But there are aspects to both that are great. Sloth is great in FMAB for example. But the superpowered ending of FMAB wasn't as much fun for me as FMA and the film.

FMA didn't have an ending... That's part of why it sucked lol (in comparison, still good, but that hurt it). Also, King was like 100,000x cooler in the one that follows the real story.

Damn though, don't think I've ever talked to people who liked the original more. You could tell the writers just didn't know wtf they were doing while brotherhood feels focused and like it's heading towards something the entire time. I just prefer that.

Oh no - I prefer FMAB overall I jusrt wish they hadn't done all the crazy superpowered nutter stuff.
