depends how you look at it
in the archaic times (even in the biblical time) people did believe the world was flat and wrote about it based on their interpretation
So yes it may be
The problem is it was written 1000's of years ago by people with limited knowledge of how the world works
It was written in hebrew and aramaic and interpreted over the decades thus the many versions (some not very accurate eg: thou shall not kill as apposed to not murder)
it was written figuratively in many places
It is believed to be inspired by God by Christians but still written by human beings who could make mistakes
As such it is not a reliable scientific source
