Seeing a few pro cod players list d2 as a game that shaped them is quite interesting

I could talk about D2 for days. I guarantee I have 3000+ hours on that game.

Loved D2 what got me into gaming aswell..still remember going to my cousins like 18 years ago and watching him play got me into it.. Played it forever just stopped a few years ago tho.. Looks like it's better now with the anti cheat and spam bots gone

Personally I loved bots. Made items cheaper and pvp more fair

I went so hard on this game, well, I think most of us did, which is why we're still on a fucking diablo2 forum lol. I remember being a super big noob who had a Gris Pally and IK barb and I thought I was the shit. I didn't find out about actually good gear and Jsp until a few years later when I noticed a kid in my class on ebay selling d2 items. I started talking to him and everything changed

It's hard for me to know for sure, but it's either Halo (the entire series) or D2 for me that's taken the most hours of my life. Bots never bothered me. I liked mfing legit some ladders, I liked running bots other ladders, and I did just fine turning a profit, finding items, or being able to trade most of the time regardless of what people were doing. If it wasn't for botters though, when it came time for me to start dueling, it would have cost me an arm and a fucking leg to put my chars together. Even with botters being everywhere and prices dropping low, it still cost me anywhere from 5-25k for my Druids. I never spent more than 25, but got damn that char was glorious.

WC2 was gold. Though I only played single player

Does anyone here watch the competitive scene at all or was I the only one to watch optic get smoked this past weekend?
