The difference of course being:

"fire started by the government" = FBI agents and local officials who were getting tired of the standoff

vs.

"children and civilians gas bombed" = presumably approved explicitly by Assad (if you believe it was an Assad job) (second parentheses: "Assad job" was meant to be a play on "inside job" that is too far way to not risk saying it)

The teacher of my high school (years i took it, not where i took it) bible class maintained that health insurance shouldn't cover STD's. She even said that she'd prefer hospitals not treat them and force those with them to go to a clinic like Planned Parenthood. The logic is actually quite sound, no one ever got an STI without them or their partner sinning. And to her not knowing your partner had sinned was a sin of itself, or near enough. Tough old bitch who wasn't afraid to rant at teenagers even though she knew we barely listened.

That's some pretty bad logic. My high school health teacher, who was responsible for doing our sex education, told us that she just couldn't say the word "sex", and so instead called it "the big nasty" the entire time.

FBI made mistakes but don't get too carried away thinking the FBI getting involved wasn't justified. The dude was fucking kids and who knows what else kinds of abuse.

If you want to be a cult in the United States and not have the government going after you , you either need to be like the Amish and allow people to leave when they want or be like Scientology and have enough real estate in California to fund enough lawsuits to prevent the government from going after you.
