Have you ever tried any psychedelic drugs? Mushrooms? Acid? etc

Question is has he ever not tried them imo.

a kid in my highschool got it in his head that all he needed to do was take mushrooms and his sci fi novel would right itself. he was a pot dealer, who funded his mushroom habit from his mom's basement. for nearly a year he took mushrooms every day. at the end of it he ended up in a mental hospital with violent paranoid delusions. after a year in there he got out and i emailed him asking for a copy of his book, read about like the OPs ramblings. at one point it had a sentence that lasted for 3 pages. characters would switch everything from personality traits to genders with no explanation. what ever the opposite of art is that's what it was.

Sounds riveting.
