I was under the impression that best drops is the exact level that drops start droping for normal Monsters. Aka. +10.

Is this not true?

A lot of us have tested and lots of people have different opinions. There is a consensus that the best level is one that is near to the level of the wellable, but lots of us say below, others say above. I think if I were on HC I'd do it at the level they normally drop at, so +7 - 10 levels above the wellable for safety + quality...

But yeah, IMO, take the level req of the wellable, and go 1-5 levels below it. To me that's best. When I say that, I mean for side drops. You can actually well a lvl 20 wellable at level 120 no problem using tons of magic luck if you like the item type of that wellable and have as good of a chance of getting a good item out. But gl getting any side drops :rofl:

found a well at lvl20 so figured it might be a good idea to camp it and fight only there so if something wellable drops i might get lucky.. but just reached lvl 35 and its getting reaaally hard... well i think i will go for lvl40 so maybe some additional lvl 20-30items drops and i get an upgrade, will see

yea, its the side drops that I'm looking for. no problem on surviving.. interesting.

Still really comes down to the gear you possess... I generally follow Ristivall's advice about welling myself. between 5-10 levels early. Sometimes as high as 15 levels early in mid levels. I only made the suggestion I did considering the lvl 15 club was his best.
