Iv been looking around at a new vehicle. Needs to have clearance for camping off trail systems and be able to get kayaks into river systems.

Problem is I'm looking to only budget out 30k Canadian. I'll just cut a cheque and outright buy it.

Also has to handle northern Canadian winters so AWD or 4wheel drive is a must.

Only thing I see at that price point is the Subaru crosstrek base modle.

Any models I'm missing?

Ahh the golf I had no looked at that. I might look into it. Thanks.

The golf has a few inches less clearance though which might be an issue.

Does it have to be BRAND new? I'd suggest a Subaru or a toyota 4runner or another suv in their lineup.

A slightly used grand Cherokee

Just make sure you get the quadra tech II 4wd system..

It’s the most capable stock vehicle out right now that doesn’t drive like a lego.

Tacoma's are ridiculous brand new and used. He would be looking at getting a 3-5 year old truck with 50-100k kms on it for 30k.

I drive an 03, so I say its worth it but :P

Consumer report, c&d, edmunds and motortrend all don’t lie.

Fuck out of here, FCA knows what they’re doing.

Go v8 prius

You can buy early models for cheap, LS's are cheap like the interior. Would be around as much as you want to pay for something new. Gl
