What are the two different IDE hard drives?

its a question for an assignment and i can't seem to find the answer.
I have found PATA and SATA but im not 100% if this is correct.

no not the internal hardware of the drive, but the names of the two different IDE drives.

IDE is PATA, SATA replaced this so it shouldn't be SATA.
PATA is ATA 1 through 6.

They want simply IDE and EIDE
or
They may want the cable types which are ATA33 and ATA66, 40 and 80 pin cables respectively. (doubtful though)




As for spindle speed it correlates to rotational latency, this chart will cover it for you.
The formula being the important take away. I'll assume you can describe what it is simply enough.
