I've been watching deception. It's not an award winning show but it's a fun buddy cop show. Replacement for the mentalist, except they use a magician instead and catch the bad guy through neat little illusions. It's fun.
That doesn't really seem to fit based on the shows he listed, as the ones he posted are "essentially segmented movies". Sure, shows did this in the past more-so than today, but now it's pretty much for sitcoms only, which wasn't what he asked for.
