I would like the planet to a habitat even after humans were done.

A lot of idiots believe that the Earth was a gift to humans made by God so it's okay to treat it like s*** because exploiting a resource like that can't be wrong because God can't be wrong. Tons of projection in the sentiment. But if God put oil on Earth for humans then fracking to get to it is okay. Creating explosions to make energy that can never be turned off is okay. It just does not matter that we have no long-term plans to deal with these problems that aren't even part of the natural world.

Just a new sector of development to develop. Disposing of nuclear waste must be made profitable for the capitalist to think saving the planet is worth it in a cost-benefit analysis.

Recycling/environmental dmg must be taken into product price tbh.

If we were to use nuclear reactors, make salty ones, running on old nuclear waste that thermally shut down automatically.
We don't need plutonium from conventional reacters for nukes.. Or do we? ^^

Fusion is still the golden egg of durable and renewable energy, but because it isn't profitable (yet) there is barely any funding.

Usually it's an argument denying climate change or other detrimental effects of using fossil fuels. Like "why would God give us fossil fuels if He didn't want us to use them" and other silly shit.

There's really no excuse for developed leaders to not be pushing LFTR reactors and more research into increasing the efficiency of nuclear.

Improving Nuclear and improving batteries should be the largest priorities in my eyes in the current and long term.

Nuclear has the ability to deliver large sums of power that other renewables just can't compete with and battery tech improving by default will increase the efficiency of renewables itself.
