Trump claims that a dysfunctional congress has made this action necessary for the defense of the country against drug cartels, gangs, potential terrorism, and many other problems stemming from illegal immigration.

This is basically what the Roman Empire did during its golden age to keep its soldiers out of trouble

Having spent many years living down South, I am well versed in topics related to the War of Northern Aggression and its aftermath.

I suppose it's one example of what keeps bringing me intermittently back to PaRD over the years. Always learn something new from folks.

How many lynchings?

This should be the primary duty of our military. Most in the reserves/national guard get paid anyways, i don't see a good reason to oppose something like this. CBP is stretched pretty thin at the southern border, supplementing those forces with the military seems like an excellent idea.
