My choice for the week: The Last of the Mohicans

My dad put me on this movie when I was pretty[probably too] young. A few scenes were a little disturbing, albeit the older I got, the more I appreciated the movie for how good it is. Great soundtrack as well.

Plot:

The last members of a dying Native American tribe, the Mohicans -- Uncas, his father Chingachgook, and his adopted half-white brother Hawkeye -- live in peace alongside British colonists. But when the daughters of a British colonel are kidnapped by a traitorous scout, Hawkeye and Uncas must rescue them in the crossfire of a gruesome military conflict of which they wanted no part: the French and Indian War.

One of those movies I've always heard about but haven't watched yet.

I remember watching this as a young kid, elementary school age, and seeing the scene where the guy rips out another guys heart.

Love this movie. The theme song makes me want to go running through the woods.

I haven't seen this since I was a kid and I know for certain that the last time I saw it I wasn't ok'd enough to fully appreciate it. Going to watch it probably tomorrow night.

Was alright. Liked the setting and the sound design. Characters and story didn't realy catch me. Don't have much more to say about it.

Pretty solid movie. Not DDL's best but the supporting cast and the action scenes in the movie are great. Haven't watched it in years but would recommend to anyone.

Going to watch this tomorrow as I finally have a day off.

This movie really is something else. It was definitely made in a different time for sure.

I am not sure if the acting is bad or good for the time it was made, but it feels a bit bad and cheesy now.
