I'm looking for a new tube amp that is able to jam with a loud drummer. I have been playing for 6+ years but only recently started jamming with a full band. I am currently using a vintage 1965 fender champ amp that is not able to play in the same room as the drummer without micing it up. I play a variety of music including classic rock and alternative rock/funk and use a MIM Strat and Tele. My price range is between 500-800. Any suggestions?

With a Price range of 500-800 your best bet is too buy a Solid state combo amp like the Orange Crush CR120C 120-watt 2x12" Combo Amp 699.00 it would work well for jamming with a drummer and small gigs.
Personally i would save up a little more and buy a Marshall DSL100HR 100-watt Tube Head 899.00 with the matching cab which is relativity cheap 499.99, you can get both for around 1,200. I use it in my studio and rehearse/live shows, its a beast!
good Luck!! ;)
