Two years have passed since the CCG's raid on Anteiku. Although the atmosphere in Tokyo has changed drastically due to the increased influence of the CCG, ghouls continue to pose a problem as they have begun taking caution, especially the terrorist organization Aogiri Tree, who acknowledge the CCG's growing threat to their existence.

The creation of a special team, known as the Quinx Squad, may provide the CCG with the push they need to exterminate Tokyo's unwanted residents. As humans who have undergone surgery in order to make use of the special abilities of ghouls, they participate in operations to eradicate the dangerous creatures. The leader of this group, Haise Sasaki, is a half-ghoul, half-human who has been trained by famed special class investigator, Kishou Arima. However, there's more to this young man than meets the eye, as unknown memories claw at his mind, slowly reminding him of the person he used to be.

I'm also looking forward to this, despite the general reception of Root A, the Kaneki walk in the final episode left quite an emotional memory for me and I still think of it fondly as a great moment even after the years, but I can't remember ending of some of the "better" anime that aired recently.

mmmm i actually just started watching tokyo ghoul.. better late than i suppose.. but... im on ep 6 and my god... kaneki is such a useless bitch.... so much so, it makes me want to quit watching

Just push through it. He ends up becoming a total badass, he just has to fucking break first and the episode(s) where that shit goes down, is some of the most fucked up/enjoyable anime breakage ever lol. Just watch man, you won't regret it if you force yourself past the whining.

yah, i pushed through it.. he got more badass in season 2..

but from what ive read season 2 isnt canon and more of a what if story line..?

i figured kaneki and touka would be in a relationship in season 2, cause thats how it usually goes lol

ill have to read the manga, since ive only watched the animed
