yes and there was a guy there that runs his key business to make them on the spot. thats the gamble on buying impounded cars. its not like its going to be my daily driver i bought it to try to make a buck but now im probably going to break even. but thats not the point.

So i just bought a 2003 dodge neon 2.0 5spd and had a key made for it but the programmer cant put the code on the key due to the transponder or the computer so im asking if theres a way around the chipped key and if not can i go to a salvage yard, find a car with simular specs, and pull the transponder or computer and it should work?

I would just bite the bullet and scrap the car
You might get 200$ if your lucky

You’ll lose more to repair then sell imo

This.

If you have the time, part it out and scrap the shell. Will probably at least break even this way.

who is going to break into a 2003 neon? They know your broke by looking at the car, no need for security system.
