Well just to get into a lil into personal life. Been playing d2 for 12 years. Hardcore fan.

I got d3 when it first came out and it really disappointed majority of us d2 dedicated fans.

Yeah a lot of people were, but I wouldn't say it's poop.

Diablo 2 is a completely different game. Brevik even said in an interview that if they wanted to make Diablo 2 up to par with today's PC's, it would be extremely difficult because of how they coded the game to older computers. There's no way they could have made any newer games the same as Diablo 2, unless they really wanted to put in the expensive efforts to do so. Which is why they decided on another take on the game.

Diablo 3 is very different to what we were expecting, but I wouldn't say it's a total disaster. I still play it daily and I like where they went with it. Sure, it has it's issues, but I love the Diablo franchise in it's entirety and I can't wait to see where they go with it. Whether it be a 4th or another expansion.

/e And I am also a hardcore fan. Played D1 and D2 starting around 2000

yes, d3 took everything good about d2 and discarded it

the devs have been proven that they haven't even actually played a diablo game before which is the main reason - trying to redo wow with diablo lore and pretend it's a diablo game is the best way to kill a series

dont talk about "series" if u never had lvl 50 Diablo1 character
u never play'd pro duels in D1
u never do a lot Lazarus runs

im not d3 defender - its kinda different, worse then d2 and little stupid but all this hate is just pathetic already

I think they took a lot of what made Diablo 2 great and completely ignored it. They made it a WoW clone to sell copies and make $$$$. No trading in an online Diablo game is just mind boggling.

I don't think that diablo 3 belongs in the Diablo universe. If you stripped the Diablo title from the game at launch it would have flopped horribly IMO.
