So I have a 2010 chevy malibu that is literally the biggest piece of shit ever.

About a year ago the tranny went out (a month after i bought the car) took a loan out since i still owed money on the car and thought this was the only issue

Fast forward to about 3 weeks ago. I noticed the power steering turning off as I was driving, turns out their was a recall on the vehicle and my VHN, so I took it to the dealership and they replaced one of the sensors

Now about 2 weeks ago (after the recall fix) my car would lose engine power, turn off esc itself, and the service traction light would come on.

Brought it in once again to dealership, they ran the codes to find the throttle body faulting, they replaced it for 500 bucks (rip off)

3 days ago it happen again. I am about to wreck this piece of shit into a tree and cut my losses.

CAN ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I SHOULD DO!

Tax check already going to fix the tie rod, sway lynx, brakes/rotors, etc. dont really have much room to be buying anything else.

Thoughts or any ideas please PM me I need help with this death trap!!

If it's throwing P1515/1516 it could be the throttle body/tps sensor, accelerator pedal sensor, TAC module, or a wiring issue. You bought one of the worst year Malibus there are. Sorry bud

They do have issues with the rubber bits on the tie rods and such, but that's mostly wear and tear

with the level of problems you are having it sounds like someone drove the piss out of it or wrecked it at some point, and almost definitely neglected standard maintenance....

I have a 2009, and I had to put new tires on it, and have one ball joint/control arm that needs replacing (according to Firestone, who wouldn't perform an alignment)...decided for $200ish and my own labor I would just do all the tie rods, control arms, and front shocks....mine has 140k miles on it and one previous owner, who obviously took excellent care of it

I'm pretty rough on it if i'm honest, but it also gets good synthetic oil and regular cleanings...

It has been a great car (other than the stupid sunroof drain hose coming unplugged and flooding my footwell once >_>)

My thoughts would be don't spend any more money on it. Let it go if u still owe money and use ur check to buy an older more dependable ride.
