iv seen this thousaand+1 time, people allways cheering to weak / lower user / team. same happens in all spots, but aswell in real life, for example, if lion attack to baby horse, majority of ppl hope lion fails.
i dont know reason for that tho, people are weird. might be some kind of empatia or something, dunno, but seems bit stupid.

I am more upset they lost vs Russia then the fact they beat Canada.

Well russia still has not won olympic gold. soviet union and 2 rand teams

this gold was handed on a platter to the russians before the olympics even began, and they still made it look way too hard. looking forward to them getting pounded when they have to deal with real competition.

damn, i honestly had no expectations at all going into this game, i was sure russia would steamroll us.
yet somehow our boys played so well that i'm a bit disappointed now, and the silver medal looks like a consolation prize - even though realistically it's the best we'll ever do at olympics in my lifetime...
