Favorite sound in the habs chamber

Bergevin created a team to fit his captain, quiet and dependable... but they all depend on someone who depend... DEPENDFESS and no one to rise

Enjoyed reading this thread.

Some reasonable points made.

No clue how Bergevin is still there.

Quantifying a player to another player doesn’t make sense

Doughty vs Karlson as an example

It’s what the personality, energy and skill does on the group that makes the difference. Weber as a Predator was a no shit moment. Subban as a Pred is a no duh trade with little risk - but Weber isn’t a dynamic personality like Subban.

Do I believe if that trade didn’t go down that things would be much different? No because we still wouldn’t have been able to keep Radulov, and the whole Drouin thing would have happened regardless, and would be in the same boat.

Subban made the habs a bit more exciting, a bit more unpredictable, and was a blast to watch. There just isn’t that excitement with Weber around

Switzy hit the nail on the head - built a team to stay quiet and listen - and in turn lost its personality and drive
