There has been a recent update which requires you to set a gold password. This has been done to ensure more security.

Since you haven't had a gold password before, just enter a password at "New Gold Security Password:" and re-type it at "New Gold Security Password Verify:"

What this guy said, you have no choice but to set up a gold password now. It's a recent change they made to keep our user secure.

It's because of security reasons. Having multiple passwords ensures more safety. If you don't want to bother typing out the gold password on your computer when sending FG, just type in your new gold password at "Remember Gold Password On This Device", and you won't have to type it out every time you want to send FG.

The staff recently made changes regarding your gold password, it is no longer optional.

You can use the tool above to setup your password, then use your new password to set your device as a trusted device, thus no longer needing a password.
