ppls emotions here are the key factor
best advice is find a good MQ charm and work back wards
no need to always upgrade every 5 lvls (i.e. take the fg you would have spent on a 40 and 50, use it to buy better 35 and 45)

My preferences:

Earth > Wind > Lightning > Ice > Fire

If fire didn't have so many absorbers I would like it over Ice

I think the light set seemed so good because of the staff/robe with mass Int/Crit
