Will a i7 8700k processor fit on a Asus ROG STRIX B250H Gaming motherboard, i read somewhere that it will, but that was the only source i found.

Isn't that an amd motherboard?
And even so I believe the "H" in the names means it doesn't allow for overclocking which would be a waste with that cpu

I believe the 8700K is a Coffee Lake CPU whereas the 200 series chipsets only support Kaby Lake. Coffee Lake works on 300 series chipsets.

B250 is the chipset, H is part of the model name.
