some things to consider
6950x will oc to 4.5+ ghz w/ unlocked multiplier, i believe xeon can only be oc'd via bclk and even then it's not binned for it
xeon's turbo is irrelevant because he will be taxing all cores, base clock matters only here

I still think buying another Mobo + equivalent current gen cpu is the way to go. Just have 2nd PC up on 2nd monitor.
