Went out to my car this morning tgere is a few fairly light scratches. 99% sure it was a racoon.

Anyone have good advice to fix light scratches on a car? (Its red if that matters). I have lots of hand tools but not many power tools.

Was reading online it suggested toothpaste. Before i go outting toothpaste on my car (is that a joke?) Id like some tips from you gurus for this young whipper-snapper.

Toothpaste is generally used to try and remove a stain on a paint so no... Does the scratch drag your fingernail?

If you want to do it by hand go to the parts store and grab a bottle of Meguiars scratch X 2.0

You just spray it on and wipe it off with a microfiber cloth or something?

It's a scratch removal compound. Treat it like a polish with a microfiber applicator.

I would try something less aggressive first like a car polish.

try doing a quick clay bar on the area, then wax it, for light scratches it usually clears it out or make it noticeably less visible
