Well folks
Its about that time
A couple months ago i made a poll on what game was to be my 200th platinum and you guys have voted
the clear and decisive winner was, Bloodborne!
Currently Sitting at 199 platinum trophies, i am now going to start this game
I played it for about 45 minutes or so now, not really playing but more or less just trying to get a handle on some of the mechanics to the game, its not hard per say (right now anyways cuz i havent made it anywhere) but yeah i can see this being a little bit of a challenge, ive never played any of the soul games before (gasps!)
Yeah, you heard me correctly
But i do like a good ol hack and slash game and this seems like it could peek my interest, the whole dark gothic theme its got going on, suits me
Any tips or advice is not required but it is certainly welcomed

never try to take on more than 2 or 3 enemies at once

master the art of the gun. keep in mind, it isn't used for damage.

sneak up behind enemies for a visceral attack whenever the opportunity presents itself

How do you sneak up on enemies?
They always hear my footsteps and turn right around
I dont know which attack is what
R1 and R2 obviously but ok, ones fast and ones like a heavy swing
And wtf is UP on the d-pad?
I hit it periodically and its like i stab myself and lose HP

• When you take damage, make sure you take a look at your HP bar. You will have a short period of time where you can regain the lost HP by attacking enemies back.
Also be sure to study your I-frames (immotality frames). When you dodge or roll you have a short amount of time in that animation, where you can't take damage (from most sources). You can use this to dodge or roll through attacks to complete avoid damage. Very useful!

• Train the gun parry/ripostes. If you shoot an enemy right before they attack (as in landing the attack) you, you will stun the enemy allowing you to do massive damage on them, by going close and pressing R1. You will get a special sound when you successfully parry an enemy. (Not all enemies can be stunned, but most)
However, you can easily get through the game without this, if you don't like using it. But mastering it is A LOT of fun and can really help you on your path, and it's pretty much vital in PVP if you plan on doing that.

• Don't give up because you die on a boss continuously. These games (Bloodborne, Dark Souls and Demons' Souls) are all about your own journey and persistence. Don't compare yourself to others, just learn from your mistakes, eventually you will be able to identify what you did wrong and fix/take advantage of it.

• And last but not least, DON'T tunnel vision on a boss or enemy you're having trouble on.
If you're having trouble on a boss or enemy & failing on its mechanic, try "fighting" the boss/enemy without dealing damage. Just learn its attack patterns and how to dodge and avoid damage correctly. When you got that down, you can start the actual fight. This tip will get you very far, at least it did for me. :)

Good luck! Fear The Old Blood!
