Gonna try to make this as short as possible.

Old HDD was failing. Incredibly long boot times and nothing would load. Constant BSOD when trying to do anything.
Replaced with my friends old Samsung PM800 SSD from the alienware m17x laptop til I can get a better one.
Had to format the ssd. Got everything installed and all is good on the loading and shit. Write speeds are slow as fuck.. slower than old HDD, but I guess that's to be expected after filling it up 60%.

The problems. (super first world, but it never used to do this)
I used to be able to play OW and League with a constant 120fps (120hz) no matter what happened. Big fights break out etc the fps never budged.
Now it will randomly drop to 50-80 for a few seconds then shoot back up to 120 making it noticeable since my eyes are used to 120hz.
Full screen games will not sync to my monitor refresh rate (120hz) even if vsync is on.
Any windows themes other than the aero themes will cause games to be super laggy and I'm not sure why. I hate the aero style.
If I alt tab out of OW while it's in full screen and tab back in it becomes extremely laggy sometimes dropping to 40fps and staying there for a while.

All drivers are up to date. I've set the power thing to performance in windows. Not sure what else to do.
Nvidia control panel is set to performance which is what it was before. I've tried adjusting it manually too but nothing changes.

PC Specs
CPU: i5-2550k
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 960 windforce 4gb
MOBO: p8z68-v lx
RAM: G.skill 8GB ddr3
PSU: Not sure. Got it from IBP
OS: W7 Home Premium 64bit

Tried to keep it as short as I could.
I'm willing to pay all my FG if this problem is fixed.
It just sucks not being able to play like it used to.
Even in PoE I can't play on dx11 because of shadows and the fps drops to 30-40 even in the starter areas.

I would imagine that SSD is way past it's "write" limit.

Secure erase the SSD, a format does nothing.
Install the latest AHCI-drivers and enable achi mode in the bios if its not.
Is the drive connected via sata cable? change it, change the sata port its connected to as well.

3. Go to the Set PhysX Configuration page and select your Nvidia processor to be the PhysX processor, click Apply.
4. Go back to Manage 3D Settings, select the Program Settings tab, find the app/game in question, select Use Global settings, click apply.

1. Click the blue bnet icon on the bnet app.
2. Choose settings, then game settings.
3. Click the reset in game user options button under the correct game listing.
4. Confirm the changes and close the window.

Run the Scan and Repair tool.
Please disable Nvidia Overlay. You can access this option through the Geforce Experience Desktop Application. Simply log into the application. Click on the gear symbol, scroll down to the Overlay Section and move the slider to off.

What anti virus are you running?
Is your CPU or GPU oc'd and if so can you try disabling it?
What are your system temps?
