What are your monitor(s)? It's possible the cable you're using to connect the monitor that looks dull is just shitty. There are differences between the cable types, though; no they are not the same. It's rare with most monitors that the difference will be so noticeable though, but it depends on the specifications.
They're all digital.. 0's and 1's. The quality of the cable really doesnt matter, As long as you're not dropping signal.

is a display port similar to hdmi, or is it like dvi-d
my second monitor was using hdmi and I had to swap for dvi-d to oc my main monitor and now it looks more dull. also my main monitor looks now like really vibrant. just wondering if I get a display port cord for my second monitor will it look like it did with hdmi?
also I need it to be display cause I only have 1x hdmi on my video card gtx 1060 3gb evga (1x hdmi, 3x display port and 1x dvi-d)
[[edit]] oh shit just realized my second monitor isn't capable of display port, so I might switch to my hdmi and use the new display port cord for my main monitor. the question is pretty much the same though. tl:dr is display port and hdmi the same?
Are you using full, Or limited color range?
