Are you able to buy the expansions or anything like that through ingame gold?
Is it illegal to buy them with fg on here also?

you cannot buy the expansions themselves, but you can upgrade from normal versions to deluxe versions using gold --> gems (just gives you some random stuff, but not the actual game)

AFAIK you cannot buy the expansions for fg.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up. Can you upgrade your version of the game to deluxe at any point?

there are three tiers; basic, deluxe, and ultimate.

you can upgrade from basic to deluxe at any point, but not to ultimate. the only difference between deluxe and ultimate is that you pay more $ and get 4000 gems
