I'm looking for a budget gaming mouse I can take with me while i
long term traveling (shoved into a backpack most of the time)
Looking for budget options but will shell out more for portability and more buttons.
Will use for photo and video editing, while also gaming

Any gaming mouse will do. I’d invest in a hard case to protect it while in the backpack.

What I was thinking. The victsing mm057. Its 11.99 and has a hard case. Cheap enough to where I wouldn't feel to bad if it got lost, stolen, or broke.

I found that the 3 buttons on the side is enough for me
Also this mouse has a special texture to it that makes you want to use it... doesn’t feel like a piece of solid plastic like other mouses. I think Microsoft has material engineers that come up with these things lol
