Lost In Space is an iconic television show from the late 60s ... the movie you speak of is a spin-off from that.

Iconic locally, not globally i'm afraid, not like for example the battlestar galacica series, that did become internationally known. I only ever heard of the movie untill i saw this topic, which makes the responses to my question rather presumtuous if you ask me. It's akin to assuming everybody must love baseball and therefor should know all the terms, all the players etc. and then respond with the crap i got here when i'm never watching or playing.

Just out of curiosity, did the 60's show age well or should i never bother with watching it?

Na, but serious, who's Paul McCartney? Good thing Kanye helped him out.

I just don't know why people feel that they'll get better answers here than from Google on things like that.

American logic.
If it’s famous in US it’s famous in the rest of the world.
Believe me Lost in Space haven’t aired im any of former Yugoslavia countries up to this very date.

So unless you’re into torrenting american 60s shows 50 and change years later, yes it’s easy to miss them.

Once again, this is what Google is for, or is Google not something you have in former Yugoslavian countries? Or is it just commonsense that you're not taught?

I heard of the show.(probably from magazine back in 90s) Never bothered checking it out.
I was just explaining how it’s easy to miss something like that unless you google / torrent it 60 years later.

Also how familiar are you with “iconic” 60s & 70s films and tv shows from Italy, Germany, Yugoslavia etc without googling it right now?

Not at all, but if I was curious enough to ask about what the basis for a foreign show was, I'd at least have the sense to Google it first before asking on an online forum. That was the point, which apparently went right over your head.

Naah, the point is that y’all “overreacted” when a random guy from
Netherlands probably in his 20s asked about the show on a forum without doing a “google research” first and figuring out it’s actually a 50 year old thing that was a huge success in US while I explained in my previous posts that it’s easy to miss lots of stuff not happening in time and place where someone grew up.

I honestly never heard of trailer park boys until I moved to Canada (5 years ago).
How? Easy, never aired in Croatia nor was ever urged to google “famous canadian tv shows from 00s”.

Oh and yeah, good advice, Google everything before asking anything on online entertainment forums, got that noted.

I'm not sure if there's a language barrier or an intelligence barrier, but got damn you're dense lol.

I overreacted because I said :bonk: when someone asked a stupid question, but you equating me saying to google something you want to know the basis of, before posting on a forum is actually me telling you to "google everything before asking anything online"... Like, how the fuck do you make that jump without a serious reading/learning disability?

Edit : Whether or not you agree that it was a dumb question is irrelevant. The show has been referenced in movies, tv shows, and just pop culture everywhere for the past 50 years. I get that you don't think that matters, but come on.
