Update: Returning one or both.
Problems with both:
• Both monitors do not appear to be IPS or LED. Viewing angles are closer to a great TN panel, or a VN panel, not IPS. This could be fine on its own, but combined with brightness being so-so, there's always a dark far-end of one monitor that requires me to adjust my neck to see it properly.
• Nits definitely not 250. Close, but the screens are a tad bit dimmer than advertised. Just as bright as my previous LCD monitor, though, which I believe was 230 nits or so.
Problem with monitor #1:
• One single dead pixel. Cannot revive it. I would be OK with this if the screen was for gaming or videos, but I use a lot of word, excel, etc, and I see it ALL the time.
Problem with monitor #2:
• Faint diagonal lines spanning the entire monitor. Almost like a pattern intended to add texture to a website background. Others cannot see the pattern immediately, but after 10+ minutes of usage it becomes obvious & then you see it every time.
• White splotch areas, where the screen is whiter (almost as if the entire rest of the screen has a layer of dust preventing perfect white to come through, and these small splotch areas are white). The areas are small but you begin to notice them once working.
• Backlight is slightly dimmer on monitor #2. By about 5%.
• Monitor #2 has a different color calibration & I cannot get it to match the other one. Difference is small but noticeable.
• Monitor #2 hurts my eyes a bit, whereas monitor #1 does not. Someone else confirmed as well.
