Let me just start of by saying that by no means am i some hardcore libertarian(although i lean libertarian at times), nor do i have anything to hide regarding anything i do or say but the ramp up in tracking and targeted marketing is getting annoying. Earlier today i wanted to check out some engagement rings, so naturally i googled it on my phone. Few hours later i'm laying in bed streaming a show on Terrarium on my fire stick and i'm getting smacked with engagement ring commercials. This isn't the first time i noticed this happening, i have to say over the last year or so it's become extremely noticeable. Look for a flight? Next 2 months you're getting flight adds spammed from a plethora of angles ranging from email to news websites. Looked at Grad school months back now it's non stop commercials on all my devices in regard to that. Like ffs give me some space?

Where does pard stand on this? How long do you think until we reach an inflection point when a good portion of the population is actually against this invasive, over the top marketing? Do you think regulators are going protect the consumers or is this a fight that's already been lost to big money?

Agree, even here at bp corporate some guy came up with a system called talk to bp, they send in compliments or complaints about bp, the second you sign up for it you are a bitch to the marketing department and EVERYONE we have a deal with on marketing, which is a long list.

They should use people that work in marketing departments, to make handicap ramps for all businesses.

/e I mean physically make handicap ramps out of marketers.

A couple years ago I bought my wife a new ice machine for her birthday. We used to buy ice, and it costs about $2 a day. I bought a small machine that made 25 lbs of ice a day, and never looked back. It shitted out after a few years of good use, that would have been hundreds of trips to the store for thousands of dollars, so I found a good deal on a new machine that could produce 50 lbs of ice a day...its a beast...makes huge cubes in like 10 minutes...after I ordered it all the browser advertisements were ice machines, on every page. I really thought it was going to give it away. She had no idea though, even when a box the size of a large appliance showed up.

Yeah, it sucks.

Hmm I can think of only two reasons you guys would need that much ice... mixed drinks all day everyday or you guys like to chew on ice out of sexual frustration, regardless seek help mate.

So shut off pretty much all app tracking on my phone and got a vpn. Problem is the vpn rapes my broadband making the browsing stupid slow... there is no winning here is there?

And lel jsp doesn’t allow you to post while using vpn, man oh man everyone wants to be big brother nowadays.
