obviously i need to take a used one so im not sure what i need to check before buying it.

can i see anything from the outside that tells me in which shape the interrior is? like i wanna use it as long as possible.

are there any contacts that are weak or should be checked before buying? can i see damages or bugs in the lens?

are there different models like playstation has of which some are known to be stronger or better in quality?

Check to see if it works and reads disks with no issues, along with controller and memory card slots.

Should be golden if that all checks out.

I bought a used Wii U thinking the same thing about it's lifespan but its been fine with good care. It's moreso the controllers that you may have to worry about but you can get those from bestbuy i'm pretty sure.

yeah ok. gonna visit 3 guys today and try to check the consoles as good as i can. kinda hyped to play mario party 4&5 with the original feeling. cant believe i sold my gc as a kid to have funds for a wii. gc has so many better games lol.

yeah wasnt too sure about nintendos lifespans. got a used xbox one that worked for 3 months. bummer because it looked fine. maybe microsoft only problem.

pretty sure you can use gamecube controllers and the gamecube disc for some versions of the wii...
