Hey haven't had to buy any of these old techs before. Need more storage for my "server" since there is only 6 SATA ports which are all in use.

1. Need a portable DVD/CD drive, maybe with the possible to burn?. Mostly going to be used to transfer old stuff from peoples DVD/CDs to PC. (All the machines in this house is pretty new so we have no internal DVD drive)
2. A PCI-E SATA Controller. Only need it to run JBOD (if it supports RAID as well it's fine). MUST be 4 SATA III ports. Not sure if it's possible to get one that supports up to 8TB HDD's. Otherwise It's "okay" it only support 3TB HDD's for now.
Needs to support windows 10

1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (PCIEX16) - Occupied by a passive GPU
(The PCIEX16 slot conforms to PCI Express 3.0 standard.)
1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x4 (PCIEX4)- Free
1 x PCI Express x1 slot- Free
(The PCIEX4 and PCI Express x1 slots conform to PCI Express 2.0 standard.)

I know some browser has a built in translator like google chrome

An ATX motherboard would have giving me 2 additional SATA slots, which wouldn't have been enough anyways. (there might be some motherboards out there but at 3-4times the price)
The Node 804 case was just to freaking perfect in dimensions. Space for 10 HDD + 2 SSD, 240mm radiator.

expansion is the point, with more expansion slots more everything, plex does do live tv now too and alot of tv tuner cards compatibility wise

I dont know if you know the company abit but they use to offer great mother boards for expansion
after awhile was gpu, few raid cards(which I have gave up nowdays fucking hassle at times), tv tuners, sound card, few other odd ball cards too

and its why you see people actually dedicate closets in their own house for it

but now days cost of going somewhere else is getting cheap so that might be your next option

Doubt we would be able to get any good live channels here in DK.
I get get the shows and movies in a matter of minutes, not sure why i would like to see TV with lots of reruns and commercials.
with 800 movies and 145 full TV-series I got all the content I can handle

So I do not see the need for more expansion slots.
My plan has been a SATA controller for an option up to 10 HDD's. And a Ryzen 1700 to handle up to 10 plex streams at a time.
