So I am pretty pro transgender and generally am understanding and fine with the rhetoric of sex being biological and gender being a social phenomomen given to certain biological characteristics.
But this notion of transgender women (MtF) competing in sports and athletics even though their biological sex is male and they grew up producing testosterone and the fact their biological sex is going to make them faster/stronger and they will have a larger bone density. And even if someone is post op and has transitioned , there will still be effects that can't really be done away.
There's also a more controversial notion that there could be mental/psychoactive differences as well but these don't completely matter as much.
This is the type of stuff I am talking about.
http://www.smh.com.au/sport/commonwealth-games-2018-backlash-over-new-zealand-transgender-weightlifter-laurel-hubbard-20171124-gzsgdq.htmlThere's also an MMA fighter named Fallon Fox who is biologically male and this is one that is pretty absurd to me even more so since it's a combat sport.
I can get that it must suck if someone will feel frustrated if they feel they are a woman but when you are biologically a male and competing against 99.99% biological females , there is a clear potential huge competitive advantage because there is a clear difference between the sexes physically , most notable in Strength/Power/Explosiveness/Speed. The only sport where men and women are mostly become on an even playing field is endurance marathon running and maybe a few others.
