Newegg has a monitor on sale that fits my needs.

"HP 25es 25" 7 ms (GTG) Widescreen LED Backlight 1080p IPS Monitor"

Price is $150 Canadian (~$120 USD).

I would be buying 2 or possibly 3. Should I go for that, or hold out for a similar new deal? I can't seem to find a reasonably priced 2k/4k monitor between 25 and 27", or even a reasonably priced 25" 1920x1080 (has to be IPS). Everything is 23.8" or less, or 27" and 1080p which is poor pixel density.

nothing wrong with 60hz for gaming
dude's just mad because you're gonna spend more on a monitor that he has in his bank account which consists entirely of christmas/birthday gift cards

Yeah, 60Hz probably sux. The fact that we ALL had 60 Hz monitors at one time and were glad to have them...means nothing. :)

Not sure what you are babbling about. Difference between 60 and 144hz is insane.

Thx guys, quality posts, rofl.

I need a dual or triple monitor setup for my profession. I’m an accountant (I work full time, and I’m also a student on weekends). I won’t be certified for a while still, so most home usage is school and professional development (not work).

As I’ve mentioned, I’m also picking up programming on the side.

Ideally I’d like 3x 25” 2k monitors. I find 27” is too large for a 1.5 to 2.5 foot working distance, but I would be fine with that size if the resolution were 2k.

At work I use 24” monitors (exactly 24”, not rounded up from 23.6). I find that size is good, but 25” would be ideal.
