Diablo is one smart fellow. It wasn't necessarily my lack of hitting power or his hard hitting attacks that did me in. I lost in a battle of wits.
I TP'd to town to go restock on some pots as I had done 3 or 4 times already in this battle. I went back in the portal to continue the fight and Diablo had a trap waiting for me... literally.... he had put up one of those bone cage things on the portal so when I came through I was instantly trapped. He was laying in wait and breathed one long string of red lightning. I couldn't get away fast enough... RIP. Game Over.
I sold my stealth armor and put gambled some random armor to finish the fight. It really wasn't that big of a punishment as I had what I needed to remake my stealth in act 5. Lesson learned.

I recommend putting town portal cast on a hot key for that exact situation. Especially in HC. It’ll save your life many times.

I'll probably do that in the future. I've never cared about dying that much before (having never played HC) so its a whole new way of thinking and playing.



Yes, I did. It wasn't really a big deal yet tho as I only had a stealth. It'll be a far worse punishment later on when I might have a rare/ hard to find armor.
