not sure if we can talk about it on here, but can someone point me in the right direction for ad block? iv never downloaded it before and don't want to download a virus or bad version

There's the Pi-Hole project (google it), completely open source and it'll block ads on *all* devices connected to your LAN. (yes, includes phones/tablets)

But it only blocks domains, so yes it will block ad-networks etc but will not block ads that sites supply themselves, floating bullshit, running away close buttons etc. You won't be able to block cookie notices either.

That said, it's best to combine both

Can't even imagine using Internet without it anymore. It probably also best anti vitus u can get..

which is worse than ublock origin and lets through ads from companies that paid them. Also ublock origin is much more lightweight.

Just use brave browser it is based on chrome or ff source can't recall which built in adblocker. It's literally a chrome and ff killer.

If you use Google Chrome, there is an extension. Just google search "Adblock", and look for a URL with /.extensions/

Install, profit, gg.
