Best place to buy a solid state drive for Xbox one?
Seagate the best?

Any info would be great! Seeing some for around 180. Would prefer external that you just plug in.. nice and simple :)

Any ssd will work. You can also use a 7200rpm Sata hard drive, if you’re wanting more storage with a faster load time then the stock hdd.

Newegg is always a good place. Office Depot if you’re wanting local and they’ll price match amazon and such.

Correct, The only requirement is that the enclosure power source is usb 3.0. The Xbox One S won’t support an external usb 2.0 hard drive.

I swapped my internal hard drive on my One S with an SSD, but also have one connected externally for the extra storage

Yeah it will still work. Not sure about the usb 2 support for an external though. So go usb 3.0 just in case.

I just did this upgrade and you have to make sure the ssd is 256 gigs or bigger with a 3.0 usb enclosure! It's works awesome btw my pubg dose not crash anymore and everything loads up 60% faster

plug it in then the xbox should tell you it needs to format the drive then hit accept or whatever and it should be ready in seconds. if you play gta v it brings load times down tremendously
