Hi everyone.

I purchased a custom built pc from a company called PB-tECH around 4 years ago, and I cant help but struggle with frame rates on games such as Player unknown battlegrounds and so forth.

I figured its time for an upgraded graphics card, Unfortunately I am not all that knowledgeable on specs and all that,

I found this one online, Opinions and help if this one is any good?

If anyone could shred some light into what I should be getting, I wish to spend under $300 Nzd for a new video card.

You could get a 1060 for like 300 probably, unless you want to stick with AMD.
Best bet would be to post here: http://forums.d2jsp.org/forum.php?f=189

or you could PM this guy, he helped me build my computer: http://forums.d2jsp.org/user.php?i=549412

anything better than an RX 460 (including it) is good enough. NVidia, sorry to say, is not good.

(ps: none of their cards support OpenGL 4.7+)

  • Google "best video cards 2017" or something similar
  • Pick one you like that fits your criteria
  • Check your motherboard's compatibility
  • Choose card accordingly
  • Shop around for best price
  • ???
  • Profit
You can also ask Computer Hardware Discussion for recommendations. I'd look some up for you, but this is a good learning opportunity for you in case you want to upgrade later on.

I would really try to save the money and get a gtx 1070.

I am a huge AMD fan when it comes to graphics cards but the 10 series was revolutionary. I currently run dual 390x cards but wish I had just a singular 1070ti

There are a few things to note while choosing an upgrade though, a GPU upgrade might not do a whole good depending on other specs.

If you want my best advice on where to upgrade, shoot me a PM and I can go into more details.

I've been building computers for over 6 years, and I am a fulltime software engineering of almost 2 years.
