You cannot make purchase requests without already having the fg, as per the rules of the site. You can have the seller give the rsgp first (as a trust trade), but you cannot do this before you have the fg to pay for the item in the first place (general rule for scam protection/preclusion). If your friend truly wants to obtain rsgp with fg, they need to commit to getting you the fg first.
As always, the preferred/safest method of trading on jsp is to use a mediator, which cannot be done if you don't already have the fg.

these are his terms, but anyway... i've done a trade in here alrdy, and i am a trusted trader troughout the years, never been S/A or whatever, do we all just forget this?
