To be fair buying at 10k+ had its advantages

Alt coin values would fluctuate wildly based on what bitcoin was doing that week

One of my friends bought at 10k and sold at 17k. Thats probably a best case scenario unless youre micromanaging it after dips now.

My sister asked me about btc when it was around 15k.

I told her it could literally crash any day since its not based on any tangible value, and its not going to explide into gains like it has before since its gone mainstream so she shouldnt touch it with a ten foot pole until it has a hard crash.

Asked over xmas of she sold. Nope. Lost about 10k. Shes as normy as you can get, so the fact that she even heard about it meant the rise was over.

People like her are the reason why its easy for me to make side change on stocks.

Its been dipping and rising wildly the past months though. If you can buy in around low 3ks it almost always rises a few 100 by the end of the week.

I think maybe I should have told her to go for it.

She really liked being "the smart sibling" in high school, then I wrecked her ACT score and college grades, so she is still really insecure about taking my advice on anything.

If I had time I'd still be working on trading volatile stocks. It's really easy to turn 5% a week just by finding stocks with a decent minimum value that are volatile.

Thats savage. Im kindof in the same boat because my brother picked a liberal arts major and he struggles a bit.

Ive also learned that the gods hate hubris though. Either of us might encounter fortune or hardship at any moment. Its hard to say where anyone can end up after a few steps more through life.

Currently she's more successful. She started painting murals for Bass Pro and running a "modeling" company where she rents girls out to advertisers.

She used that to make connections and start her own painting company where she does murals for businesses that want signs painted, murals in the building, "Welcome To *City*" signs, etc.

I'll make more money when I'm out of school, but by the time I'm out of school, she'll have a good million dollars on me.

I chuckled at the idea thor calling people normies
