What I want to know is why anyone believes an article written by a media source, that has been accused of fake news? An UN-verifiable story, I might add.

is there anything that isn't fake news if it goes against the narrative you want to believe?

do you prefer to get your news from objective middle ground news sources like brietbart, fox news, rush limbaugh, and hannity?

Everyone has been running around accusing the media of being fake or bought off by one political party or another.

Why is it so far fetched that they would seek to defend themselves, somehow? I especially like the part in the article, where the WAPO states they never offer money for a story.. I guess that line might work on someone just off the boat...but does anyone on PaRD believe the the Washington Post never paid for information?

From the article in the OP.

The Post, like many other news organizations, has a strict policy against paying people for information and did not do so in its coverage of Moore.

Does anyone here actually believe that?

I'm not changing the subject. I'm asking why anyone would be dumb enough to believe that if the WP would lie about paying for tips, etc., that they might also be lying about all of it.
In the past the WP as well as others, have been accused of fakenews. Miracle of miracles, they post a story (that's unverifiable), that just happens to make them look like an upstanding, honorable news source.

The coincidence gauge is off the scale.

@umpire43, that said, “A family friend in Alabama just told my wife that a WAPO reporter named Beth offer her 1000$ to accuse Roy Moore.” The Twitter account, which has a history of spreading misinformation, has since been deleted.
"
So i guess you will believe umpire43@twitter or veritass instead of the WAPO ?

Like I said...the whole story is unverifiable.

The gofundme page that was also proof...was also deleted. The whole WP story is completely unverifiable.

Quote
By 7 p.m. the message on the GoFundMe page was gone, replaced by a new one.

“Campaign is complete and no longer active,” it read.

/e On top of everything else...it was also the WP that interviewed the 1st girl to complain about Moore, the 14 year old.
I beleive I qouted part of that article too, something about the WP "encouraging" the lady to "tell all". Encouraging her, repeatedly.
