The NIA’s nine “Love Jihad” cases were based on complaints lodged by the parents of the Hindu girls and all were found to have links with IS, the NIA police sources said. The agency dropped the investigations into the other 80 cases because no links to militants were found, the sources said.

Across India, over 270 men and 20 women have been arrested for working directly or indirectly with the IS, according to data at the federal Home Ministry. But Kerala was the only state where the NIA found a direct link between cases of “Love Jihad” and the IS, the NIA sources said.

The agency says it has uncovered attempts by IS sympathizers to possibly send the women in “Love Jihad” marriages off to marry or stay with fighters from the militant group, the NIA sources said.





Is this over-reaction, or a legitimate concern? Are Islamic militants, jihadists, whatever actually using marriage as a method or ...recruitment?

its unsettling to hear what these people are doing to spread islam, but out of the many issues this particular one here isnt too significant in my opinion

Well if it stays limited to just a few folks, then it probably isn't too significant. But if it spreads through the 1.3 billion people of India, it might just turn into a real problem.
Obviously something like this wouldn't happen over night, but just the thought of it, and the method they seem to be using, makes me think things like where else is this happening.

What a load of shite, the article even says the cases were dropped due to no evidence. My intuition tells me the complaints are from Hindu fathers that can't stand the idea of their daughters marrying a Muslim.

it's not a big issue, just it's easy for them to get cheap wives in the same way some men here are doing with russians east europe women (they are so cheap and obedient)
13% of indians are muslims, this event triggered an investigation, and it's more likely a good decision IMO.

That was also my first thought when reading the article.

Indian parents can be.... weird.... about marrying a nice Indian Hindu or Christian boy.

I get it man, disagree with people for the sake of it because you don't like them or they were mean to you.

Read Thor's post and reassess what you just posted. I don't hold it against you as intuition can't be taught, it's innate.
