Will pay 100fg to the user whose suggestion I go with, will be purchasing in 3 weeks.

I don't really know what to look for in car sound systems, I just know that I've blown my stock speakers and need an upgrade

1: What is the Year, Make, and Model of the vehicle.
2016 Nissan Frontier SV 4 door

2: What is your budget?
$350 or less, hopefully less :)

3: What exactly do you want your outcome to be? (Good sounding music, or loud bass?)
Good sound quality that I can turn up loud without blowing my speakers

4: And specific sub sizes that you prefer more than others?
No sub

5: How much trunk space do you want to use up?
None

6: What type of features are you looking for in a CD Player (aka Head Unit)? (Ex: USB, AUX, BlueTooth, etc)
I have the SV model with I think a double din and Bluetooth probably don't need to change this??

7: What type of music do you listen to?
Everything, but mostly rock and hip hop

8: Is your stock stereo system amplified? (You may or may not know this)
Idk

9: Do you have Steering Wheel Controls? (Volume/Seek on the steering wheel)
I have volume, seek, Bluetooth on my steering wheel

Thanks guys!

fyi $350 isnt gonna get you too far. a decent h/u, amp, and speakers gonna cost you closer to twice as much.

Do I need an amp or upgraded h/u? I don't know a lot but it seems unnecessary for me just wondering what the benefits are

I had a 05 frontier and the factory amp just doesn't get loud, and it distorts a bit early, I only did 6x9 and the 6.5 in the doors, it sounded better then stock but it wasn't very loud, if you want a nice sounding system you'll at least need to do door speakers and a line out with a mids and highs amp

They have nice little pods for under the seat I'm sure someone makes a prefab box for them too

If you want precise control with an equalizer, solid preamp out voltage, and overall better sounding music yes absolutely. You can go cheap with a line out converter but don't expect your music to sound all that great.

Thanks for the input guys.

So for quality I want some kind of amp, but my budget is restrictive.

Is it okay to do speakers now and get an amp later when the funds are available or is that a no-no?

Really I guess my #1 goal is to get rid of my blown speaker and have something I don't have to be afraid of blowing for the time being

priority wise i'd do speakers first, then new stereo, then amp

the speakers I picked for you with or without the amp will not blow. the RMS power handling (how much power you can continuously drive to the speakers without blowing them) is a great pair with that amp. The stock stereo in your car maybe puts out 8-10 watts per speaker, which just goes to show you how poorly constructed OEM speakers are (when you pull em you will see the cones are literally made of paper)

Getting the amp last will give you a chance to break in your new speakers a little bit also. You should also pick up about 50 feet of 10 gauge speaker wire because it's a fire hazard trying to use the OEM speaker wire (power is too high and the wire carries too much resistance) when you install the amp.

If you want to really take it to the next level pick up some quality sound-deadening material for your doors. This will really improve the acoustics and keep the exterior of your car from rattling to all hell.

Get 12 or 14 gauge, 10g is overkill af, my buddies using 14g on his doors with 2 1100.2s

You don't need all that wire unless your going Brazilian stunt wall lmao

Just get some coaxials, I haven't looked at coaxials in years so I don't have a good recommendation, also that head unit probably puts out distortion pretty early, if you do notice the point where it distorts don't turn it up past that lol
