I need the option to be:

- reliable (iCloud goes down on my phone often when I need to access it, unreliable)
- relatively responsive in terms of upload/downloads
- storage costs are low per year for an adequate 10GB or more, free is preferred
- accessible with ease from a web browser or iPhone
- features don’t get in the way of manually sorting files (ease of managing folders without automatic nuisances)

I have tried Dropbox, I’ve tried Microsoft’s storage, I’ve tried iCloud. I haven’t revisited any of the three recently, but I wasn’t too impressed in the past.

Has any cloud storage option made strides in a good direction as of late?

If you need 10GB then any of them .. basically

Personally I use google drive for business - it's unlimited. Like, really. I have over 10 TB uploaded there, some people have 10x more. Costs $8/mo iirc no matter how much data you store.

Of course free tier is pretty good too if you only need like 10 GB.

On PC you can use google drive file stream which makes it a network drive - that is you don't need to store that data offline and can have access to all files on all devices and it won't use any disk space. Also offers team drives you can share.
