What are your guys' opinions on the impact of the franchise on the league?
I live in Vegas myself and actually work in a sports bar on the Strip, so I can say that people are pretty excited about the team overall. More importantly, people seem to give a shit about hockey overall, which is awesome. Just today at the mall I noticed there's a dedicated hockey store which sells mainly Knights shit but also stocks Ducks, Kings, Penguins, etc., so that's really cool to see.
One negative impact is that certain carriers black out Kings, Sharks, Ducks, etc. games because this isn't their "market" anymore, which is a bitch, I loved being able to reliably watch every Ducks game.
Haven't gone to a home game yet so I can't speak to the nature of home games but I'll be hitting up the November 5th game against my Ducks. From what I've seen against the Blues, Red Wings, Kings, etc. is that the other team's fans fill the arena more than Knights people, but that's fair.
I wonder how well this team will do when they inevitably play to their sill level and play sub .500 hockey.
I'll probably make a "fan thread" with the bold and such for them just to post miscellaneous shit there.
